Hot spring skinny dip
Let’s go for a ride
Just two kids living life
Around the bend again
A nice night for a skinny dip
Show me yours and I’ll show mine
The love you hide inside
Make you believe once again
Hot spring skinny dip
No one has to know
The places that we go
The things within our mind
And the feelings that we hide
Show me yours and I’ll show mine
The love you hide inside
Make you believe once again
Hot spring skinny dip
It’s such a shame
The way we hide away
Life is happening all around
Don’t you want to be found?
Show me yours and I’ll show mine
The love you hide inside
Make you believe once again
Hot spring skinny dip
Look I know it’s hard
Looking at life from afar
You can just take my hand
And we can dive in
Show me yours and I’ll show mine
The love you hide inside
Make you believe once again
Hot spring skinny dip

Midnight Poet

Dive bars and open mics
Writing poems to stay alive
Hearts poured out to a beat
When are gazes meet
Midnight poet we meet again
Are we lovers or simply friends?
Say no more than a word or two
But I’ll write a poem just for you
Pour her heart on the stage
Her five minutes of fame
The words she speaks captivate
And I sit stunned her slave
Midnight poet we meet again
Are we lovers or simply friends?
Say no more than a word or two
But I’ll write a poem just for you
I write the words I dare not say
Knowing too well this game I play
Should I stop and let it be
When I know her poems are for me?
Midnight poet we meet again
Are we lovers or simply friends?
Say no more than a word or two
But I’ll write a poem just for you
And so I savor all this time
When she’s up there on the mic
As she speaks in her rhyme
In that moment know she’s mine

Pictures of Superman
Midnight vibes, one two many drinks
Holding hands while she hides her ring
Giving in to this fantasy
Yes I know she’s not good for me
She’s searching for something
To fill the void she has
Long lost images
Pictures of Superman
That she thinks
Will set her heart ablaze
Who will rescue
Her from her sad days
But I hope she sees
At the end of the verse
The truth I know
I can’t be the one to save her
She sings for me how I make her feel
And we lie, pretending this is real
Lack of silence slowly will reveal
What Lipstick and makeup can’t conceal
She’s searching for something
To fill the void she has
Long lost images
Pictures of Superman
That she thinks
Will set her heart ablaze
Who will rescue
Her from her old ways
But I hope she sees
At the end of the verse
The truth I know
I can’t be the one to save her
She’s runnin she’s searching
I know she’ll find a way
She’s running she’s going
She’ll find herself one day
She’s searching for something
To fill the void she has
Long lost images
Pictures of Superman
That she thinks
Will set her heart ablaze
Who will rescue
Her from her old ways
Searching for something
To fill the void she has
Long lost images
Pictures of Superman
That she thinks
Will set her heart ablaze
Who will rescue
Her from her old ways
But I hope she sees
At the end of the verse
The truth I know
She doesn’t need me to save her

Call #1980#
Come run away with me
Pack your bags and we’ll leave
This god forsaken
Never changing town
We’ll borrow Levi’s car
Pack your drums and guitar
I’ll pay for gas we’ll
Make it last till we’re broke
Yes, it’s easy when you’re by yourself
With life collecting dust on the second shelf
Why are we running laps in the same damn place
When The city lights are calling our name?
California beaches
Picking Georgias peaches
I hear New York is nice
We can crash outside Central Park
Drive the highway streets
You fani and me
Play your favorite song
Sing along I won’t laugh.
Because it’s easy when you’re by yourself
With life collecting dust on the second shelf
Why are we running laps in the same damn place
When The city lights are calling our name?
And we won’t think
About the people we had to leave, behind
And of our stupid passcodes
To our gated houses
When the world is ours.
Sure it’s easy when you’re by yourself
With life collecting dust on the second shelf
Why are we running laps in the same damn place
And The city lights are calling our name!
